Makita’s 36V (18V X2) LXT® Brushless 9-1/4” Circular Saw Kit (XSH010Z) is a powerful cutting tool that showcases the company’s pioneering brushless motor technology and battery innovation. Equipped with two 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries, this cordless circular saw is a reliable performer with an electronically-controlled BL™ Brushless motor that delivers torque and RPM based on the application.

The XSH10Z is designed for accurate ripping and can be used with Makita Guide Rails (sold separately). With a large cutting capacity of 3-3/8” at 90◦, this circular saw can handle tough applications like ripping and cross-cutting larger beams, boards, and forms.

One of the key features of the XSH10Z is its cordless design, which allows for efficient cutting without the hassle of a cord. When powered by two fully-charged 5.0Ah batteries, this circular saw can make up to 110 cross cuts in 3×12 oak board. The electronically-controlled brushless motor delivers a full 4,500 RPM for efficient cutting, and its Automatic Speed Change™ technology adjusts the cutting speed and torque under load for optimal performance.

In addition to its cordless design, the XSH10Z also comes with an electric brake for maximum productivity and a soft start for smooth start-ups. The circular saw’s die-cast magnesium base, blade guard, and blade cover make for a durable yet lightweight (only 13.2 lbs. with batteries, sold separately) design.

The XSH10Z is also AWS® capable when equipped with the Auto-Start Wireless Transmitter (part no. 198901-5, sold separately). This feature uses Bluetooth™ technology for wireless power-on/off communication with the AWS-equipped dust extractor (sold separately), providing an efficient dust management solution that eliminates cords and reduces noise.

As part of Makita’s expanding 18V LXT® System, the world’s largest cordless tool system powered by 18V lithium-ion slide-style batteries, the XSH10Z is compatible with a wide range of Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries. These batteries have the fastest charge times in their categories, allowing for more work time and less charging time.

Finally, the XSH10Z comes equipped with Star Protection Computer Controls™, a communication technology that allows the Star Protection-equipped tool and battery to exchange data in real time and monitor conditions during use to protect against overloading, over-discharging, and overheating. The tool can also be powered by Makita® 18V LXT® Lithium-Ion Batteries with the star symbol on the battery indicating Star Protection inside, providing increased versatility for the user.
