The C18DBALQ4 is a cordless circular saw that features an 18V Brushless Lithium Ion motor and a 6-1/2″ blade with a cutting depth of up to 2-19/32″, which is comparable to a 7-1/4″ saw. This saw offers power, precision, and convenience while also reducing size and weight through the use of a brushless motor. The C18DBALQ4 comes as a tool body only and is compatible with Metabo HPT’s 18V slide type Lithium Ion batteries (sold separately). Additionally, this saw has a built-in spotlight, an electric brake, and a no-load speed of 4,100 RPM.
One unique feature of the C18DBALQ4 is its silent mode, which reduces the max motor RPM and noise output when performing efficient work. When the load increases during silent mode, the tool automatically switches to Power mode and reverts back to Silent mode when the load decreases. This saw also offers safety features such as overload protection, which cuts off power to the motor in the event of overload or apparent reduction in rotational speed during operation, soft start to reduce kickback on start-up, and an electric brake that stops blade rotation rapidly when the trigger is released.
With a weight of only 6.8 lbs (when equipped with a Compact 3.0Ah battery model BSL1830C) and a center balanced design, the C18DBALQ4 is a lightweight, compact, and powerful cordless circular saw.
